Obituary of Catherine DiMercurio

Catherine DiMercurio died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 10:30am at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara, California at the age of eighty-six. A life long resident of Mountain View, Catherine was born to Joseph and Carmen Mena on October 20, 1928. The oldest of four siblings Catherine grew up on Center Street in Mountain View. She attended Highway School and graduated from Mountain View High School. She married Dominic DiMercurio of Monterey. They have two children; Debra Hicks of Mountain View and Joseph DiMercurio of Agoura Hills. She is survived by her three siblings; John Mena of Fremont, Carmen Perez of Tracy, and Clara Sala of Salida. Catherine always carried a positive and joyful attitude in life. Her smile and laughter were infectious. She always found the best in people. She was always a sympathetic listener. Wherever she worked she took on the role of friend and work place mom. But, her real joy was her extended family. She relished in family get-togethers. She made the world a kinder and welcoming place.
