Bonnie Wiebrecht, 80, of Sunnyvale, CA, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2022, at El Camino Hospital, Mountain View, California after a short illness. Bonnie was born on September 20, 1942, in the small town of Frostburg, Maryland, the daughter of Lawrence and Viola Wiebrecht. She was preceded in death by her beloved sisters Nancy Chaney and Betty Dawson. She is survived by her nieces Nancy Keenan and Karen Kelly as well as her great-niece Kristina Hawse.

Bonnie moved out to Sunnyvale, California with her parents and sister, Nancy, around 1953. She enjoyed the area and her neighbors so much that she chose to stay in the same home she grew up in once she retired from the Social Security Administration. Bonnie's life centered on her family and friends as well as her many dogs over the years.

Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Thursday, December 15, 2022 beginning at 9am at Spangler's Mortuary Sunnyvale Chapel, 174 North Sunnyvale Avenue, Sunnyvale. Clergy will perform a short service between 10:45-11:30.

Graveside services will take place at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos at 12 pm immediately following the viewing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bonnie's name to the Humane Society Silicone Valley .

Due to the limited amount of flowers that can go to the gravesite, this may be a better way to honor her memory.
