Beverly Jean Petersen 81, of Sunnyvale California, passed away on May 30, 2024.

Beverly was born July 3, 1942, in San Jose to Isabel and Florencio (Chet) Pozas. She graduated from Sunnyvale High School and attended Foothill College. She married Mike Petersen and they moved to Davis in 1964, then Salinas, Chandler Arizona, and back to California (Winters) in 1971. She worked for several years with Bank of America in the Winters and Davis branches. Beverly returned to Sunnyvale in 1995 to work with the family businesses.

Bev enjoyed sharing time with family and friends, visiting the family cabin in South Lake Tahoe, bridge, mahjong, jigsaw puzzles, travel (especially cruises), and many kinds of dance, including ballroom and west coast swing.

She is survived by her children: Kelli (Ken) and Scott; her grandchildren, Tyler and Nikki, and many close nieces, nephews, cousins, family members. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard and parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Beverly's memory to American Cancer Society or to an organization of choice.
