Ann Marie (Fitzpatrick) Avedisian was born on February 5, 1939, in New York City and grew up in the Bronx, the daughter of Irish immigrants Bridget and Phillip Fitzpatrick. She was the second of three children, with an older brother, Phillip, and a younger brother, William.
At the age of 20, Ann Marie married and began building her family in Columbus, Ohio, where she welcomed five sons over the next eleven years: James, Kevin, John, Michael, and Patrick Connors.
For the last 50 years of her life, California was home, with most of that time spent in Los Altos with her husband, James Avedisian. She embraced life fully, maintaining an active social life and dedicating her time to causes that supported people facing challenges in their lives.
Ann Marie will be remembered for her zest for life, her love of laughter, her passion for travel, and her quick, witty sense of humor. She had a gift for bringing joy to those around her and left a lasting impression on everyone whose life she touched.
Ann Marie died peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her son, James. She is survived by her husband, James; her sons, Kevin (Amy), John, Michael, and Patrick Connors; and her granddaughters, Kennedy and Ryan Connors.
A mass will be held at 1pm on September 26th at St. Nicholas 473 Lincoln Ave Los Altos and the reception is set to take place at St. Williams reception hall at 611 S. El Monte Los Altos.
