Obituary of Angelita Espiritu Chan


Angelita (Lita) Espiritu Chan, 82, of Sunnyvale, entered into eternal life on March 11, 2020.





She was the beloved wife of Lucrecio (Luc) for 55 years, the devoted mother of her late son, Genghies,Shellane and her

husband Tim, Glen and his wife Corinne, and Courtney and his wife Jennifer. Angelita was a loving

grandmother to Lucas, Alden, Bennett, Keanu and Kallen. She was born in Orani, Bataan, Philippines to

the late Judge Alfredo D. Espiritu and Bartola C. Espiritu. She is the only daughter who grew up

surrounded by her six brothers and many cousins. Lita and the family immigrated to the United States in

1975 and resided in San Francisco for 39 years before moving to Sunnyvale in 2014. Angelita worked as

a pharmacy technician for Children's Hospital in San Francisco for 10 years and 17 years for Kaiser

Hospital San Francisco as a health information analyst. She was a woman of faith and had a strong

devotion to Virgin Mary. She cherished her family and truly enjoyed watching her five grandsons in all

of their sports activities. She was a terrific cook and an avid reader. She also loved tending to her rose

garden and managing her investments in the stock market, aka "Smart Investor". Lita always enjoyed

sharing a meal with family and friends at home or at one of her favorite restaurants.



A rosary will be said at 10:30am followed by a funeral mass on Tuesday, March 17, at St. Cyprian Parish,

195 Leota Ave., Sunnyvale, CA. The graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1500 Mission

Road, Colma, CA at 1:30pm.





In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org).
