Agatha Josephine Hellier passed away September 29,2023 at her home.

She was born October 9,1926 in San Diego, CA to Frederick William Sick and Lillian Mary (Achatz) Sick. She graduated from (what was then) San Diego State College with a degree in Physical Education/Social Science and went on for a Master's degree in Physical and Health Education at the University of California at Los Angeles. She taught Physical and Health Education at Humboldt State University for a year and then and went on to teach Physical and Health Education in the Taft, CA City Schools, where she met and married Bruce Hollister Hellier, February 7, 1953. Agatha led a busy life raising three children and teaching part time at Taft Community College as a preschool parent educator. In 1969 the family moved to Huntington Beach, CA. for Bruce's work where she became a full-time homemaker. In 1972 the family moved to Los Altos, CA. Throughout her life she was active as a Scout leader, 4-H leader, school volunteer, and maker of a multitude of theater and dance costumes. For many years she volunteered for the American Heart Society. Agatha was a member of the Los Altos Garden Club and a Midpeninsula Regional Open Space docent. She and Bruce were active members of the San Jose Sailing Club and loved camping and the outdoors. They were members of St. Williams Parish where they were members of the Lunch Bunch and Agatha was in the Altar Society, bridge group and an active Parish volunteer.

Agatha is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lucille Hellier-Clarke and Carus Clarke, son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Pat Hellier, and daughter Barbara Hellier, seven grandsons, Michael Hannen, Jason Hannen, Craig Hannen, Matthew Hellier, Daniel Hellier, Benjamin Clarke and Donald Clarke, and great grandchildren, Kayla Hannen, Emma Hannen, Jake Hannen, Julia Hannen and Eliza Hellier.

The family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers and Hospice of the Valley for their thoughtful and compassionate care of our mother.
