At the end of 2009, our landlord notified us that rent would double at our Menlo Park Chapel.

The news came as a big surprise to us and because of the state of the economy, many businesses in the area – not just ours – are experiencing an increase in rent.

The only conceivable way we could take on the additional cost and continue to provide the best service and support to our families in the area, would be to double our prices.  This is not an option for us at Spangler Mortuaries.

After much deliberation, we have moved our Menlo Park Chapel effective Feb. 1, 2010.  We have moved the business to another location but at this time do not have a Chapel in Menlo Park.  We are part of the Menlo Park Community and are going to continue to support families in the Menlo Park area in the following ways:

1)  We will have our Funeral Directors or Funeral Counselors visit and make arrangements at a family’s home or location of their choice.

2)   Families may choose to have their services at one of our three existing Chapel locations, Los Altos, Mountain View, and the newly remodeled Sunnyvale Chapel.

3)  Menlo Park Churches and Cemeteries will also be utilized by our clients to satisfy their needs.

Spangler Mortuaries has been part of the community for 75 years, and will continue providing quality service at affordable prices.  Through the use of our other close locations and private home meetings, we can serve all of your needs in a timely, respectful manner.  

Although it is sad that we had to move out of a Chapel we have called home for over 15 years, we know we will be able to continue to provide the quality services we have been known for.
